The Vote Heard Around the World

“Medicine is the keystone of the arch of socialism” Lenin (Communist Leader)

On March 21, 2010, the United States Congress passed H.R. 3590, The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. In spite of overwhelming public outcry, the leadership chose to spit in our faces and stomp all over the Constitution. The utter arrogance of this action cries out for us to take a stand.

For far too many years the majority of the citizens of this once great nation have sat idly by repeating the same mantra for years "I don't have an opinion, it really doesn't affect me." This has allowed the leadership to develop the mentality that if no one is complaining they must not mind. Do you care now?

All across the nation, States are passing legislation asserting their sovereignty under the 10th Amendment of the United States Constitution. The 10th Amendment states that: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." The complete and total federal takeover over healthcare is NOT a power granted under the U.S. Constitution. Therefore the Federal government has over-reached their power!

Individual States have a responsibility to enact legislation that places the leadership on notice that we will not submit to this control of our health care system! Any sitting State leader that does not support this legislation should be removed from office and any candidate that does not support it does not deserve your vote!

Some of you may still be saying "it doesn't really affect me" (although I fail to see how ANYONE can still have that mentality now) how about the fact that EVERY American must have some type of Health Insurance or be fined %695 per year or 2.5% of your income, whichever is greater. Or the fact that the Obama budgets have pushed the spending to up to 25% of the gross domestic product and this bill promises to keep it there. This relates to a 5% deficit OVER the GDP for as far as the Congressional budget Office can see or higher taxes! Pelosi and other Democrats have been eyeing a value added tax i.e. a National Sales Tax.

In this march to higher taxes, high end earners will pay 3.8 percent more in Medicare tax, on top of a promised increase, from 35 percent to 39.6 percent, in their income-tax rate. Every economist worth their salt agrees that raising taxes during a recession will slow of prevent recovery. But what does that matter as long as the Left has the healthcare bill they want. The bill also creates a 3.8 percent tax on interest and dividend income above certain levels beginning in 2013. That’s another growth-killer.

In the long run, the higher taxes on the high end earners and cuts in Medicare and the fiscal trouble of Social Security mean that a Congress down the road will have to either scale back benefits, raise taxes on the Middle Class or both!

When Obama was voted into Office with a 53% majority, it gave the Left a blank check. They truly saw it as the People bestowing upon them the power to change this once great nation. And so they have. But this is still not the end.

As of this writing, there are at least eight States that are filing Federal suit over the passage of this Bill. And like I stated earlier, many more are enacting legislation aimed at resisting the takeover of healthcare by the Federal Government. Senate Republicans are also looking into procedural errors committed during the process that may make the passage of the Bill questionable.

In closing I urge you to finally take a stand for your Country and your way of life. Surely if there is a drop of patriotic blood left within your veins you cannot sit idly by while this complete and utterly disgusting abuse of power takes place. Contact your State Representatives, contact others who aren't in your District and urge them, no TELL them that you expect them to support the Rights of the States under the 10th Amendment! As Thomas Jefferson, one of our great Founding Fathers once said “Whensoever the General Government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void, and of no force." They have assumed those undelegated powers!

If you still aren't convinced this issue affects you wait until they pass Cap and Trade. Then your voices will be too poor to be heard.

Voice your opinion! Voice your outrage! For to be silent is to voice support!
